Young Pro, has been added to the Choice FM UK Cuts play-list, BBC 1xtra DJ Seani B’s Hotshots and regular air-play on community radio stations nationwide. Having just completed the video ‘Dream Come True’, this single will undoubtedly set the charts ablaze, increasing her ever growing fan base. “I have and remain living and breathing for music. This is what I was born to do, this is what I am.” With two other singles, ‘The Meaning Of Love’ and ‘Turn The Speakers Up’ soon to follow, Sheya is targeting music for all to appreciate. “I want to be remembered as one of the most prominent artists from out of the UK, who paved the way for others to follow.”
Inspired by iconic artists such as, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Teedra Moses, India Arie and D’angelo, Sheya has also drawn much of her musical influence from other worldly sensations like, the Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire and a plethora of other heavyweight Jazz and Blues singers. “I’ve had a lot of inspiration from a lot of great artists but overall I have always been compelled by Beyonce’s growth as an artist, her consistent hit songs and her outstanding stage performance. To me she is someone that I am aspiring to be as great as,” Sheya confidently admits.
